Hi there, I’m Frankie

— Hi there, I’m Frankie.

I’m building something new!

I built and launched Entrepreneur First in Canada from scratch and served as General Manager of both EF Toronto and EF Singapore where I helped build 50+ venture backed startups ($300M+ USD in enterprise value). I was the first product hire at Holmusk ($31M, Series A), a product manager at TradeGecko (acquired by Intuit), and first associate product manager hire at LightSpeed POS (TSE:LSPD). I’ve taught product management workshops to over 1,500 students at General Assembly. I actively write small cheques and have invested in over a dozen startups. I also moonlight as a photographer, my work has been featured in dozens of publications and has over 5M views.

I am a purpose driven problem solver and I help people build products. I believe they are a vehicle for influencing the world we wish to live in.

Product management happens to be how I bring value to organisations and teams. My product philosophy boils down to:

People: I believe that product managers work in service for the people and teams building a product.

Purpose: We embody the ‘why’ and champion the organisation's purpose and vision with our teams.

power: With a lowercase 'p' because we lead through influence and not authority. We form deep and powerful relationships with our teams and stakeholders to win their trust over time.

Problem: We are problem managers and are responsible for thoughtfully identifying and curating the most important problems to solve.

Perspective: We use our curiosity and empathy to shift through perspectives, seeking to learn, not to be right.

Pattern: We think through systems, pairing models and frameworks with our life battles in the trenches to detect and predict patterns. We compound our learning to anticipate and break complex problems into actionable challenges.

Prioritise: Prioritise your team. Prioritise learning. Prioritise based on your organization’s purpose. Say no whenever it is needed and be able to persuasively articulate why.
